How
much does Coaching cost?
An initial consultation
is always free. I ask every new client to make a commitment to
themselves to stay with coaching for at least 6 months. Coaching
is an on-going process and the most effective and powerful
coaching relationships typically last from 6 to 24 months, or
longer. (Think of Olympic athletes working with a coach for
years!)
Here is a key
distinction: We never consider that our clients are buying
(or renting) my time. They are contracting for a
partnership and if I agree to coach you, my commitment is to be
an effective partner and to do whatever I can to help you
achieve the results you seek.
The basic
individual coaching package is $425/month and includes 3
(sometimes 4) coaching sessions each month, plus fax and email
support, and additional "spot" calls as needed. A more intense
level is also available for clients who want to move quickly and
who have the reserves, motivation and determination to utilize a
more active style of coaching.
Couldn't I read a book or do a
workshop?
Yes, you could.
But
how often have you read that inspirational book or seen that
motivational speaker only to lapse into your old patterns less
than a week after the experience? Studies show that we lose 95%
of what we learn in a workshop or seminar within two weeks.
A coach keeps you accountable and supports you over a
period of months. Then, the changes stick. Most top athletes
rely on coaching to help them improve their performance and
point out the areas they may be missing. The same principle
applies to making a change in your life.
Changing
behavior, learning a new skill, or reaching the next level of
success takes time. A coaching relationship creates the space
for you to build your capacity to achieve sustained
excellence.
What about
confidentiality?
We hold our clients’
issues in the strictest of confidence. We do not discuss what
you’re doing, how we’re doing, what you’ve accomplished, or what
your obstacles are with anyone.
When we work with managers and executives, we often seek
feedback about their performance. But the feedback is always
given in a private manner and we never disclose the source.
We will gladly sign any non-disclosure forms you offer
us to ensure we protect your privacy.
How can you
Coach me if you have not had direct experience in my
industry?
Coaching is the
technology of human interaction; people issues are the same in
every industry-morale, accountability, communication,
interpersonal relationships, conflict, management skills, etc.
Our clients are from a wide variety of industries.
