Q.
Our company is very thorough in our due-diligence process
in contracting any services. One of the many questions that is
important to me as a decision maker for our firm, (since we are
now seeing many internet.com companies going out of business) is,
what type of management or company philosophy has Internet
Consulting Group practiced since 1993?
A. Even
thorough e-business, or e-anything, is part of our new e-conomy,
Streetwise Consulting philosophy has always been our proven business
principles first, then we apply what works to new e-conomy
infrastructure to insure a predicable outcome. Our clients
can move into this new -economy with solid advice
from Streetwise Consulting, that's rooted from similar beliefs of
large fortune old economy companies. This is one example of how we
have separated ourselves from our competitors for long term
growth.
Q. Are there any other
reasons to develop a company site, other then to generate new
client leads?
A. A Website
should be designed multi-functional, where new client leads are a
given with any basic strategy. Many e-business applications can be
developed to enhance, or interact more efficiently with new or
existing clientele. For example, a structure that utilizes C.R.M.
(Customer Relations Management) solutions can be implemented, to
reduce the company's time management involvement of prospects or
clients, thus reducing overhead. The fact is, there
are as many custom Web applications that can be developed as there
are businesses, that will expedite the company's bottom line, as
well as provide active sales
leads.
Q. Our site has been up
for over 3 years now and we are not receiving many hits,
what's the problem?
A.
Not all Web sites are created equal! "If you build it,
they will come." Unfortunately, not all Web developers have a full
understanding of what needs to be included in a Website. This
process needs to begin with an initial consultation that will
reveal the needs and purpose of the company's site. Developing a
site is a two step process, when the design process is completed a
well-executed online marketing plan needs to be deployed. It is at
this point, an Internet business plan should be developed that
includes a viable online marketing plan.
See our
e-marketing section for a complete solution to this frequent
problem.
Q. Our firm is currently
planing a large e-commerce site, should we be looking for a large
Internet consulting firm to develop this effort?
Streetwise Consulting is a small-dedicated firm that limits it's
clientele to only 50 per year, thus providing the scalability to
accommodate a variety of project sizes. This business model offers
the best of both worlds, insuring projects in a timely manner
without sacrificing ongoing client support. A large firm does not
always mean efficient ongoing client support, simply because it
has a large staff.
Q. How long
has Streetwise Consulting/icg been in business and what type of
projects or companies do you have experience in dealing with?
A. Streetwise
Consulting/icg has been in business since 1993 and has helped companies
in the manufacturing, healthcare, service, and retail sectors. We
are an end-to-end solution provider, from design, online
application development, to e-marketing strategies that provide
results.
Q. Is it important
what type of Website hosting server is chosen for our site?
A. This can be the
most important choice a company can make. As not all sites
are created equal, the same applies to Website hosting servers.
Many sites are hosted on slow T1 connections, this means in plain
English, that your site will load very slowly. The only reason
they are still offered is because its cheaper, so its important to
ask!. You should not except anything less then a OC48
connection. Internet Consulting Group provides our clients with a
direct Internet backbone connection that uses redundant fiber
optic OC48 connections.
Q. We would like to
redesign our site, but don't have the time to compose the new
content information. Can ICG provide this service?
A. Yes, in some
cases ICG has developed the content information within the
company's site, by combining industry research, and using
collaborative client techniques. This is a service that our
competitors simply cannot, or will not offer.
